George Mitri is a serial technical founder and problem-centric engineer who leads company strategy, product vision, and commercialization for complex, sustainability-driven engineering solutions. With deep expertise in mechanical and materials engineering, advanced R&D, and product commercialization, George has built and led multidisciplinary teams that translate early-stage research into real world systems and IP. At Mecca he established the R-esearch, D-evelop, A-pply (RDA) methodology that guides the company’s approach to innovation — combining rigorous research, pragmatic development, and applied pilots to deliver adaptable, high-impact solutions across energy, thermal management, and circular-economy projects.

As CEO of 2DaLoop, George directs the company’s go-to-market strategy and product roadmap, turning Mecca’s SBIR and prize-driven R&D into an enterprise-grade platform for automated material identification, valuation, and reintegration. He steers partnerships, investor diligence, and pilot deployments with recyclers, OEMs and federal stakeholders — ensuring that technical designs meet operational, regulatory and commercial constraints. George’s leadership is both strategic (fundraising, enterprise partnerships and P&L

accountability) and deeply technical, driving product architecture and vendor/partner alignment to accelerate deployment of the data pipeline and related offerings.

A practical technologist and operator, George has shepherded multiple DOE SBIR submissions and HeroX challenge efforts that spawned 2DaLoop’s core IP and go-to-market value proposition. He pairs a hands-on engineering background with experience building investor-ready artifacts, pilot agreements, and partner integrations — positioning 2DaLoop to commercialize scalable automation and analytics that recover value from electronics and critical materials while meeting customers’ operational and compliance needs.
