Mitchell Foster is a seasoned cybersecurity leader and federal-compliance specialist who builds secure, resilient systems at the intersection of enterprise software, regulated customers, and industrial automation. As Mecca Innovation & Technology’s Co-Founder and CISO, Mitchell architected the security-by-design posture for Mecca’s R&D programs and federal proposals, leading governance, risk management, incident response planning, and regulatory readiness for a portfolio of SBIR and prize-driven efforts that underpin 2DaLoop’s product strategy. He drives the company’s compliance roadmap — from NIST alignment to SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness — and defines the operational controls and privacy safeguards required for enterprise, government and recycler customers.
Mitchell’s expertise centers on practical, audit-ready security programs that enable innovation at scale: security governance, continuous compliance, secure API design, data protection (privacy and export controls), and incident & vulnerability management. Within Mecca and now at 2DaLoop he translates regulatory requirements into testable controls and investor-grade artifacts — ensuring the platform’s data exchanges, partner integrations and ML/automation pipelines satisfy the rigorous needs of OEMs, large recyclers and federal
pilots. These capabilities are reflected in Mitchell’s ownership of the Regulatory Roadmap & Strategy and his role as the company’s operational lead for compliance and risk.
A collaborative operator, Mitchell works closely with product and engineering teams to bake security into architecture and DevOps processes, supporting secure cloud deployments, key management, and secure data flows across hybrid architectures. As 2DaLoop’s CISO he ensures the company’s technical roadmap is matched by an enterprise-grade security posture that lowers friction for pilots, procurement and commercialization — turning stringent security and privacy requirements into a competitive advantage.
